An arts-based training, coaching, and professional development program through which participants learn to use the Creative Minds Out of School curriculum.

An initiative to allow communities to create state-sponsored cultural districts to stimulate new arts and cultural activity and attract creative businesses.

Cultural Facilities Fund
Grants supporting the sound planning and development of cultural facilities.

Cultural Investment Portfolio
Includes unrestricted funding for nonprofit arts, humanities, and interpretive science organizations.

Cultural Sector Recovery Grants for Individuals
Unrestricted grants of $5,000 to creatives and gig workers to support recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and set a path for growth.

Cultural Sector Recovery Grants for Organizations
Unrestricted grants ranging from $5,000-$75,000 to Massachusetts cultural organizations, collectives, and businesses negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

CultureRx Initiative
Advancing the role of culture as a protective factor for the health of everyone in the Commonwealth.

Festivals & Projects
$2,500 grants to organizations to support public activities incorporating the arts, humanities, or sciences.

Gaming Mitigation
Funding to performing art centers affected by casino gaming in Massachusetts.

Local Cultural Council Program
Local Cultural Councils serving every city and town in Massachusetts offer grants to projects benefiting their community.

New England States Touring Program (NEST)
Support to nonprofits for performances, readings, and related community activities by artists in New England Foundation for the Arts’s NEST Program.

Social Prescription Program
A program to reimburse non-profit cultural organizations that accept social prescriptions from professional care providers. Part of our CultureRx Initiative.

STARS Residencies
Grants for residencies of 3 days or more with teaching artists, scientists, humanists, or cultural organizations.

Traditional Arts Apprenticeships
Funding for mentor artists to mentor apprentices in one-on-one learning experiences of traditional music, craft, or dance.

Universal Participation Initiative
We’re putting inclusive design at the center of our work with cultural organizations across the Commonwealth.

Multi-year grants to Creative Youth Development programs that integrate substantive out-of-school arts, humanities, and science opportunities into a collaborative community response to the needs of youth.
