The MassDevelopment Board of Directors has approved $9.27 million in new grants from the Massachusetts Cultural Facilities Fund (CFF), a state program that provides capital and planning grants to nonprofits, colleges, and municipalities that own or operate facilities primarily focused on the arts, humanities, and sciences.

The Gaming Mitigation Program, established by MGL Section 59 chapter 23K, aims to mitigate a direct threat to the sustainability of nonprofit performing arts centers in Massachusetts by providing capital to preserve their ability to compete in a new, unbalanced marketplace.

More than 100 leaders from arts and cultural organizations gathered at the Boston Children’s Museum February 27 to celebrate the extraordinary success of the EBT Card to Culture, an innovative new program that opens doors to culture for residents of limited financial means.

The Massachusetts Cultural Facilities Fund is a grant program that supports the planning and implementation of capital projects in the arts, humanities, and sciences.
