With most spring and summer festivals postponed or cancelled, festival producers, artists, and community stakeholders are coming together to process how that will impact the livelihood of towns and cities, and to explore new and creative ways of engaging audiences.
As part of our commitment to support the sustainability and viability of festivals in Massachusetts, we have enlisted 10 festivals to take part in a year-long Festivals Audience Lab.

Local Cultural Councils Reimagine Their Role in Community-wide Planning
We conducted a series of 13 regional meetings across the state this summer as a follow up to the Mass Cultural Council Institute held in March 2018. The meetings gave us an opportunity to convene cities and towns by region to talk about our new strategic plan and Power of Culture messaging platform.
