Ashfield Cultural Council
The Ashfield Council is a volunteer town-appointed committee. We receive annual funding from the Mass Cultural Council and hold a competitive application process to award these funds. We look for programs that support and nurture the arts, humanities, and sciences in the Ashfield community, that support local institutions, and that provide opportunities for Ashfield residents to engage in innovative and high-quality programs.

FY25 Local Priorities
The Ashfield Cultural Council (ACC) is inclined favorably toward programs that are of high quality, directly benefit Ashfield residents, take place in Ashfield or close proximity to Ashfield, are submitted by Ashfield residents, and impact many participants. The ACC funds a variety of programs in the arts, sciences, and humanities that reach diverse audience demographics.
A proposal should be specific about the program, including the anticipated number of people to be served, the budget, promotion (how you will get people to attend), the presenter(s), the venue, and the program date(s). Include letters of support from hosting or collaborating institutions when applicable, and/or or organizations that can document need or interest. All programs must be ADA compliant.
Council Members are available to provide technical assistance to applicants. Applicants are encouraged to take advantage of this assistance. Applicants must contact the ACC at least two weeks prior to the application due date for assistance or feedback.
