New Cultural Districts Designated in Holyoke, Watertown & Westfield
There are now 58 state-designated cultural districts across the Commonwealth
In FY22 Mass Cultural Council will invest $4.8 million into the Local Cultural Council (LCC) Program, the nation’s largest grassroots cultural funding network.
Through this program, 329 LCCs — representing every city and town in Massachusetts — support some 6,000 public projects annually that include everything from field trips to lectures, festivals, and dance performances. Our allocations to LCCs range from $5,000-$266,500, based on a formula that reflects state aid to municipalities.
Applications to the LCC Program are now available. The deadline to apply is November 1, 2021 at 11:59pm (ET).
Read more about the application process and FAQs. Watch a recording of our information session and get more details on navigating the new grants management system.
This year we are rolling out a new grants management system, so don’t wait until the last minute to apply.
The LCC Program supports Mass Cultural Council’s goal of enriching communities.
