Racheal Xavier, the designer behind Valentina Ventura XX, has been designing & creating clothing for over a decade. During this time she has worked for independent designers in the US and UK. Her passions lie in creating unique & tactile textiles, draping on the form, delicate hand stitching, hand and machine knitting, and using materials in unexpected ways.
Currently, she is creating commissions for street wear pieces and bridal pieces per request while creating collections in her studio in Massachusetts. Each garment is meticulously hand crafted and most never recreated. Her unique background working in many studio settings makes it easy for her to create one of a kind pieces with her own unique construction methods that she has collected and curated over the years. Her work is inspired by her love of esoteric studies, Giallo cinema (1970s Italian horror films), fetishism and fetish art, and various genres of music.
