Talysha Rivera

Artist / Creative (Individual)

Talysha is a photographer and community organizer based in Springfield, Massachusetts. Her practices centers on collaborative portraiture, community storytelling, and the ways identity and place shape one another.

Working with people in their own neighborhood and spaces, Talysha created images and visual projects that encourage social engagement, belonging, and reflection. Her portraits are made in collaboration with the people in them, so the work reflects how communities see and represent themselves rather than how they are seen from the outside. She is exploring ways to bring this work to a larger scale and into shared public spaces through printed, mixed-media, and textile-based approaches.

Talysha’s social practice includes gathering creatives, amplifying local voices, and creating opportunities for collaboration and visibility across the region.
