I am a Lowell, MA based oil painter. Through my art, I explore the complexity of our urban environment. I aim to capture the emotions, energy and beauty of a vibrant cityscape and to challenge myself to understand and master the intricacies of light and reflection. My painting practice utilizes a combination of techniques, such as palette knives, adventurous brushstrokes and loose, painting often using a high key palette and night time for my settings, as this complements the reflections and allows for a heightened sense of intensity and emotion. As an artist, I strive to create unique and compelling artwork that conveys the feelings of mystery and potential that city scenes can offer.
