Reid MacPherson – Puppetry Workshop

Offering puppetry workshops that serve as an introduction to the basics of movable dynamic figures (possibly human but possibly otherwise) which respond to the action of the human hand (or, conceivably, other body parts). Through lecture, demonstration and assigned projects, workshops will cover the creation of one, or a variety of types of puppets. We will further concern ourselves with an assortment of means of providing and delivering motivation from students (possibly human but possibly otherwise) to otherwise inanimate puppets, either directly or through such means as strings, rods or other connectors.
