I am a redware potter and I have received recognition as a “Keeper of Tradition” by the Mass Cultural Council and by the Directory of Artisans by Early American Life Magazine as America’s best for over 15 years. My pottery performance is available for all ages and venues and integrates pottery folklore with local and statewide pottery history (or other peoples and time periods), discussions of pottery techniques and demonstrations of teapots, dragons and unique pots made from around the world.This is not the typical pottery wheel demonstration. The program can be adapted to explore specific pottery types, historical periods and ethnicities. This performance ties together the arts, the “language of the potter”, culture and other common aspects.
I have performed in over 400 locations including art festivals, libraries, art societies, schools and senior centers.
