Much of my art is an attempt at turning the three dimensional virtual imagery of my mind into reality for others to see. My varied life experiences, extensive world travel, and the people I have encountered, provide a rich source of material. As a result, my subjects, media, materials and process range widely allowing me to produce the result I envisage for any particular piece. I work in two and three dimensions, using both classic materials such as oil paint and stone, as well as contemporary materials such as house paint, polyurethane foam, concrete and steel; and I prefer to work on a scale large enough for public spaces. I strive for elegance but often whimsy intervenes.
