Nicole Stone is a Cambridge-based artist and educator whose work invites communities to rethink public monuments through printmaking and participatory art. A graduate of the Massachusetts College of Art and Design (MFA, BFA) and Brandeis University (Post-Baccalaureate), Nicole creates joyful, thought-provoking projects that explore local histories, civic identity, and social justice.
Since early 2025, her Monument Project has been featured in exhibitions and workshops across Cambridge, engaging people of all ages in reimagining who we honor in public spaces.
As a recipient of a Public Art Learning Fund Grant from the New England Foundation for the Arts, she collaborated with Stacy Friedman at New Impressions Print Studio on a series of prints that expand her public art practice and deepen her community impact.
