I am a contemporary abstract artist based in Massachusetts, creating work that celebrates resilience, renewal, and the beauty of imperfection. My paintings are held in private, corporate, and healthcare collections, and I am a signature member of the National Association of Women Artists (NAWA), a member of Galatea Fine Art and TAG, both in in Boston’s SoWa Art + Design District. Beyond painting, I am the author of the Cooper the Dog children’s book series and the mother of five, experiences that continually shape the way I see the world and the art I create.
My practice began as a way to navigate personal loss, but it has grown into a vibrant exploration of joy, curiosity, and connection. Circles appear often in my work, reflecting life’s cycles of challenge and growth, while bold colors and sweeping forms convey energy, hope, and movement. My paintings lean into playful, bright palettes, which uplifts my mood and hopefully of those who see them. I create paintings that invite viewers to pause, reflect, and find beauty even in life’s messy and imperfect moments. Each piece is both personal and universal, a reminder that strength and joy can be discovered along the journey. www.micheidistudio.com
