Mary Rose O’Connell is a classically trained artist and teacher. She paints in oil and water-based mediums. Genres include seascapes, portrait, figurative, still life, floral and plein-air landscapes. Her paintings and commissions are often created from life and may also be done from high quality photographs. A wide range of framing options are offered.
Along with being the recipient of many national and regional awards, Mary Rose was awarded the 2021 Cape Ann Museum Charles family Fellowship through the Copley Society. Mary Rose is a juried member of the Copley Society of Art, The Rockport Art Association and Museum, the North shore Arts Association of Gloucester. She is also a member of the American Impressionists Society and Allied Artists of America.
