Katherine “Dazy” Duker

Katherine Duker is a contemporary artist working in painting, mixed media, and sculpture, creating science-inspired artwork rooted in biology. Her work translates organic structures and systems into vibrant, large-scale compositions that explore perception, activation, and interconnectedness.

Drawing from a background in neuroscience and scientific imaging, Duker creates acrylic paintings that balance structural precision with expressive, high-saturation color. Her compositions are derived from her own scanning electron microscope (SEM) imagery of natural forms while embracing abstraction, transforming complex systems into immersive visual experiences.

Duker’s artwork has been included in juried exhibitions at regional arts centers, including the Kelly Fitzpatrick Arts Center. She actively participates in exhibitions and public art markets, maintaining an engaged and evolving studio practice.
