I create joyful, colorful and earthy artworks that witness wonder and reflect reverence for the beauty of nature. I work in silkscreen, watercolor, collage, colored pencil, fabric appliqué and mosaics delighting in the unique qualities of these materials, improvising and nurturing into existence images from the deep well of my imagination. My work is the expression of my spirit and wonder which makes new places of universal understanding that transcend the materials and existing reality. I aspire to be open to my inspiration and its process which is often a struggle on an unpredictable path. I am influenced and inspired by the world around me and I see exciting visual possibilities in forests, sunsets, flowers, and especially mountains. My experience as a musician has led me to dare to paint visual music, free from restraints of subject matter.
