Joshua Winer, Artist

Joshua Winer is a teaching artist who specializes in working as an Artist-in-Residence with school communities to create vibrant mosaic murals, painted murals and ceramic tile. Working closely with the school,  he creates original designs, then works with the students, parents and teachers to fabricate these projects from a wide range of materials, including mosaic glass, ceramic tiles, paint and mixed materials, and then installs the mosaic work on site.  He works with students of all ages in all types of educational settings. He is also commissioned by individuals and institutions to create public art mosaics and murals, and often collaborates with architects and designers. He believes that art brings value and joy to the world, and reinforces identity, creativity and legacy in communities.
