Yixuan Zeng is a multidisciplinary visual artist with a passionate belief in the limitless power of art and storytelling for greater social change. As an illustrator and designer, they have worked on a variety of projects, from apparel to emojis to children’s books. Yixuan has also collaborated at numerous film festivals to elevate and showcase underrepresented stories, formerly as Programming Director at the Boston Asian American Film Festival.

Nowadays, Yixuan pursues illustrative work through crafting public murals. Yixuan hopes to reclaim public spaces for local communities through artwork that inspires curiosity, empathy, and collective healing. Their art often explores themes of identity, mental health, trauma and recovery, and intergenerational relationships, utilizing visual inspiration from mythology, folklore, and East Asian art traditions.
