Dumas F. Lafontant, ML, is an award winning artist, freelance teacher, and samba with many years of experience in the creative economy. He is the author of Introducing Nubia a curriculum designed to teach the Kingdom of Kush to school-age children. He has written several articles, books, and poems that are published by the Tanzania Digest, Boston Society of Landscape Architect, New American Writing, Potomitan.info, and Tanbou: Tri-Lingual Press. Lafontant, ML, possesses a Master of Leadership, which he completed at the University of Southern California in 2011. The following four words inform his teaching methodology: Learning, Interactive, Fun, & Experiential (LIFE). As grant writer, he has raised over two million dollars in funding. He leads, educates, & empowers his team to communicate better than none. He exemplifies integrity, vivacity, and resourcefulness in every detail of his daily life. He is Proprietor of Abrigani, business-to-business start-up and Ecofguees®, green initiative to protect natural habitat and endangered species, both of them founded in 2021. In addition, he owns the trademark for the hexagonal canvas, issued in 2016 by the Secretary of State, Massachusetts, as well as countless other memes that convey his interest in objective reality. He considers himself a seeker, sojourner, and geographer, with a specific focus on Ayiti, from the pre-Columbus period to the present. Observing the peril and danger that the Folk of Ayiti face, he likes to recall, the present is not definitive.
