ABOUT / Don Gorvett is an artist and printmaker known for his large and powerful woodcuts of maritime and architectural subjects. He was born in Boston, MA, in 1949 and attended the School of the Museum of Fine Arts through the Ford Junior Fellowship Grant. His lifelong intention of living within the realms of harbors and the sea is a reality, and his surroundings continue to provide the intellectual stimulus for his approach to the reduction woodcut.
