Based in Massachusetts, artist Diana Zipeto explores the contradictory nature of human emotions through her thought-provoking large-scale paintings. With a foundation in painting and illustration from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, Zipeto’s recent series looks at the contrast of beauty and decay, health and disease, and asks questions about family, loss, and mortality.
Her work has been showcased across the United States in galleries including Untitled Gallery in New York and Jonathan Ferrara Gallery in New Orleans, as well as various Massachusetts venues. Featured in private collections and institutions, Zipeto’s work has received recognition through multiple grants, including support from the Massachusetts Cultural Council and most recently, from Mosaic Lowell. Immersed in Lowell’s vibrant artist community at Western Avenue Studios, her art creates spaces for viewers to connect with their own feelings and stories.
