I try to reconcile opposites, both visually, and conceptually. This creates a visual tension that is both defining, and compelling, and that is analogous to both art, and actuality.
The sculpture uses a similar definition as in my painting; combining disparate properties, although here in their use of materials, both natural, organic, and then machine/industrial made.
