Cat Armistead

Cat Armistead is a mixed media artist based in Boston who creates paintings, sculptures, and jewelry. She uses reclaimed materials like styrofoam, plastic bags, and other single use plastics in her jewelry, paintings, and sculptures. She works out of her space at Humphreys Street Studio in Dorchester and helps organize community events with her studiomates. She’s experimenting more with public art in the form of murals, currently working on one in a community arts space in Charlestown and having completed an electric box in East Boston in 2021. Cat has exhibited in Massachusetts, New York, North Carolina, and Connecticut. She hopes to grow her public art practice with more sculptural and metal based works.
