Creating mosaics is not just a ‘feel good’ activity. The process of selecting and connecting the elements of size, color, texture and shape, has helped me develop problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and patience – ever negotiating for a work of art the best possible execution and outcome for function or decor. Mosaics is a very forgiving art where imperfections can be embraced to add interest and variety, and highlight other parts of the work. Life, I feel, should imitate art in this respect.
I want everything I do to bring value and beauty to my community and our world. Becoming a better artist maximizes my ability to do so.
Embracing the power of art to heal, Corinne became an Arts in Health Practitioner in 2020, and loves introducing the joy and benefits of creativity to people – especially when they don’t believe they are creative.
Corinne is always inspired by nature and animals, and loves incorporating whimsical elements into all of her work to instill a sense of delight. She welcomes commissions, offers private and small group mosaic instruction in her Newburyport Studio, and specializes in Pet Portraiture and Memorials through www.PuppyLoveMosaics.com,
