Barbara Healy’s paintings capture the quiet beauty of the New England coast. Her degree in textile design from UMASS Dartmouth gave her a background in color but often paints plein air to be inspired by nature. Oil paintings of seascapes, landscapes and gardens share the artist’s interpetation of her coastal landscape. Paintings have a sense of place, but also covey the painting process by layers of color under visable brushstrokes.
