Banter Arts

Banter is a six-member, Cambridge-based artists’ collaborative that meets at regular intervals to network, brainstorm, view art and engage in a lively dialog about the arts.  Banter artists seek to encourage and enhance the attainment of each member’s artistic goals; share and disseminate information on exhibition and educational opportunities, technical information, and grant opportunities; and pursue joint exhibitions, educational activities, collaborations, and other artistic endeavors.  Recent activities include  the first ever art exhibition at the Eastern Bank at Harvard Square, an annual group show at Simon’s Coffee Shop in Porter Square, member participation in shows at the Chandler Gallery at Maud Morgan Arts, Gallery Blink in Lexington, the Newburyport Art Association, Umbrella Arts in Concord, the Cambridge Center for Adult Education, and various traditional and non-traditional venues throughout New England.
