Ava Pom is an Illustrator, Risograph publisher, and zine-maker and workshop facilitator based in Boston, MA.
Much of her work combines expressive characters and brightly saturated colorways to share themes of collective joy and connectivity. She often translates her work into prints and zines through riso printing.
Ava also founded a public, all-ages zine-making workshop project in 2022 titled Zine Space and partners with local organizations such as the Boston Figurative Art Center and the Rose Kennedy Greenway to host these experiences. She works both as a visual artist and a community arts organizer to expand utilization of self-publishing methods and spark communal empowerment and collective joy.
Ava often exhibits her RISO prints, zines, and comics at national art fairs such as MoCCA Fest, RISD Unbound, and the MICE.
