Ashley G. Garner is a photographer and video artist based in Boston, MA. Born and raised in the Southern United States, Garners’ work examines the micro and natural world and her intimate relationship with it. With Bachelors Degree in art history and fine art, she is self-educated in botany and influenced by the sublime, memento mori, and mythology. Her work has been described as “elegantly provocative”.
Exhibitions have included the Museum of the Moving Image, Miami Film Festival, Column Health, Georgetown College, UNF, The Quin Hotel, Doral Contemporary Art Museum, and international exhibitions and art fairs.
In 2017 I founded ÆSTHESIA, a multi-sensory wellness art program, with electronic musician Juan Correa Lopez (ALURIA). Exploring the ways that plants can be in healing environments for psycho-physiological benefits we have installed work within rehab clinics, hotels, museums, and film festivals. continues to partner with health centers, non-profits, plant nurseries, educational institutions, and tech wellness companies.
