Amanda Lamoureux Smith is an internationally published abstract and mixed media visual artist living just outside of Boston, Massachusetts (USA). Amanda paints mostly with acrylics on canvas and she steps in the paint used to create the painting and signs the back of the canvas with her footprint. Amanda creates unique, commissioned paintings for clients working with them to craft and execute their unique vision(s).
Amanda uses quotes as inspiration to begin each piece, and her technique is expressive in nature and is derived from a desire to build layers to showcase the emotive outlets that others may equally relate to in life through transformation and the beauty and chaos that is life.
Amanda’s art has been showcased at various showcases throughout the state of MA and her work had been published in the international magazine Beyond Words Magazine, Amanda was both a semi-finalist in Engage Art’s 2019-2020 contest and was also featured on their app and was a “Distinguished Artist” for Engage Arts in early 2020 which led to her being featured in their online gallery.
Amanda has been interviewed various times on local TV shows, as well as on the Spotify podcast Boston Arts Podcast.Amanda was also a former co-host for the live, local, weekly art TV program called “It’s All About Arts” where she assisted with live interviews of local artists as well as executed produced her own live segment called “Motivational Mondays”. Guests Amanda interviewed included artist of many mediums as well as local politicians including Boston’s mayor, mayor Wu.
Amanda was an active member of the former non-profit CIVA (Christians in Visual Arts), was on their advisory board and co-facilitated a monthly virtual artist group called Heart 2 Heart. Now a board member of NCVA (Networks of Christians in Visual Arts), Amanda no co-facilitates a monthly virtual artist groups for a program called Creator’s Circle.
