The Woburn Cultural Council is composed of volunteers who promote the work of Mass Cultural Council, create and communicate Local Cultural Council (LCC) priorities and guidelines, and follow the Mass Cultural Council’s Annual Calendar.

FY26 Local Priorities

Cultural Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion: Projects that elevate the voices and experiences of historically marginalized groups to highlight the current and historical diversity of Woburn. We welcome applications from all artists and performers; however, preference will be given to those based in Woburn and to programs or performances that directly benefit Woburn residents. The Woburn Cultural Council will review all applications after the application window has closed.

FY26 Local Guidelines

The Woburn Cultural Council supports community cultural projects through its grant program. Mass Cultural Council is the governing organization from which funds are derived, and the Commonwealth has guidelines to which the local council must adhere. Woburn’s guidelines are in addition to those of the state. The Woburn Cultural Council Guidelines are specific criteria that Woburn’s local cultural council has determined will enhance and encourage cultural events within our community. The Cultural Council will do its best to fund projects that benefit the greatest number of people while funding various programs for all ages. Applications must be submitted via the Mass Cultural Council’s web-based form.

Applicants must have arranged for a handicap-accessible venue for their activity and date or general timeframe.

Grantee must include Mass Cultural Council’s logo and a statement acknowledging that “The project is supported by the Woburn Cultural Council, a local agency supported by Mass Cultural Council” in all promotional materials. Reimbursement forms must be submitted to the Local Cultural Council within 1 year of the application being awarded.
