The Wilbraham Cultural Council (WCC) is a nine-member volunteer board that convenes to distribute funds for art and culture in Wilbraham.
The WCC invites authentic, interesting, and diverse artists and cultural leaders (both amateur and professional) in our community to share their knowledge, skills, performances, and creations with the intention of enriching the lives of our residents.
The WCC aims to fund projects that:
Support public education in the arts
Address the needs of underserved communities
Encourage skill building in the arts
Reach large populations and/or have long lasting value
Indicate nominal participation/admission fees
Grant funding will not be approved for travel related expenses, for programs that do not state a specific venue* or for programming whose target population is less than 10 people.
*The WCC has a list of performance and activity venues in Wilbraham. Grantees do not have to perform at these venues; it is compiled as an option for grantees to consider. It is the sole responsibility of the grant recipient to secure a venue. For a list of venues please email WilbrahamCulturalCouncil@gmail.com.
The Wilbraham Cultural Council, in addition to allocating funding for grants,
Host lectures and events related to arts and culture
Create and manage a fundraiser that adds to the available grant funding allotment
Use our platform to support other Wilbraham organizations that relate to arts and culture
