Warren Cultural Council

The Warren Cultural Council serves its community and others from the Quaboag valley area through grants promoting the arts, humanities, and sciences. The Council’s arts grant program brings music, art, dance, and theater within easier reach of our local residents.

FY22 Local Priorities

LOCAL PRIORITIES: (Not in order of preference)

1.) Proposals for programs serving youth.

2.) Proposals for programs serving seniors.

3.) Warren or West Warren artists.

4.) Collaborative projects between cultural groups and community organizations


The Warren Cultural Council will adhere to the following funding policies for yearly allocated state funds and/or funds raised by the local council:

The Warren Cultural Council can no longer accept paper applications. All applications must now be created by following the online toolkit on the Massachusetts Cultural Council website — The Warren Cultural Council will give funding priority to local artists offering programs, plays, performances, and workshops which promote cultural diversity for the benefit of Warren or West Warren residents of all ages in the following three disciplines: Arts Humanities Interpretive Sciences Please note these important requirements for funding:

  • The event must take place in Warren or West Warren.
  • The event must be supported by a local organization, and a venue must be secured prior to submitting the application.
  • The sponsoring organization must provide a letter stating that the event is sanctioned by the organization and a venue has been secured.

FY22 Local Guidelines


The Warren Cultural Council will adhere to the following funding policies for yearly allocated state funds and/or funds raised by the local council:
1.) Funds may only be used to support programs in the arts, humanities, and interpretive sciences. We do not fund capital expenditures.
2.) Funds must be expended within a 12 month period; fiscal year is from January 1st to December 31st, or beginning when funds are transferred to the local account. Funds not used within the 12-month period will be voted on and allocated to other projects.
3.) We require that projects have a sponsoring agency in our community with a contact and with date and times in place.
4.) Acknowledgement will be given to the Massachusetts Cultural Council and the granting Warren Cultural Council in all newspaper and radio publicity, signage, and billboards. Proof of publicity must be submitted with the reimbursement form.
