FY23 Local Priorities
The Wareham Cultural Council develops funding priorities based on results from our community input survey and strategic discussions at our local meetings. We review a wide range of proposals that are not all within the town of Wareham, so we use our priorities and guidelines to support our funding decisions. The Wareham Cultural Council will give priority to:
· Grants that serve community events within the town of Wareham
· Projects that serve teens, seniors, and families.
· Projects that focus on cultural equity, diversity, and inclusion
– Projects that support musical endeavors and environmental sciences.
FY23 Local Guidelines
In addition to the state criteria, applications will be evaluated using the following review criteria:
· How well the program meets our local priorities, including its support of the Arts, Humanities, or Sciences.
· How well the program supports the town of Wareham.
· The means by which the program promotes access to the diverse cultural needs of our town.
· Financial need
· Clear and focused planning written in the grant proposal
