FY24 Local Priorities
Plymouth Cultural Council (PCC) follows the direction of the Mass Cultural Council with our local responsibilities of thoroughly vetting and funding projects, services and events in the arts, humanities and interpretive sciences for public benefit.
PCC’s mission is to bring as many different types of multifaceted cultural experiences, for all ages and interests, to enhance, entertain and even enlighten residents and visitors to the South Shore through funding allocated to ensure the delivery of local talented, gifted, subject matter experts residing in our community.
FY24 Local Guidelines
PCC best serves the local community by promoting diversity, excellence, access, and education in arts and culture by prioritizing the disbursement of funds to applicants and non-profit organizations who reside in Plymouth County.
We are interested in supporting a broad scope of programs that will impact lives of our youth, adults and seniors.
In order to ‘share the wealth’ we strive to approve as many qualified applicants, as feasible. Our ability to allocate funds is based on the quantity and dollar amount of grant requests received. We favor funding town or county residents and non-profits organizations. If demand is high and we are not able to fund at 100% we will most likely approve some portion of the ask and also may need to limit grants to one per applicant per year.
