The Millis Cultural Council’s mission is to promote excellence, access, and diversity in the arts, humanities, and interpretive sciences in order to enhance the quality of life in our community.
The MCC strives to achieve these goals through the funding of local arts projects and programs with grants, and by hosting special events in Millis.

FY27 Local Guidelines
The Millis Cultural Council supports and promotes the arts, humanities, and sciences by funding programs and activities that enrich the quality of life in our community. Through grants, events, and community partnerships, the Council helps bring cultural, educational, and artistic opportunities to residents of all ages.
The Council awards grants to local organizations, schools, artists, and individuals whose projects benefit the Millis community. Funded programs may include performances, exhibits, educational workshops, cultural celebrations, historical programs, and other activities that encourage creativity, learning, and community engagement.
Priority will be given to first-time submissions and programs that are free and open to the public for the benefit of the Millis community.
Proposals must include a no-cost component for participants, attendees or a portion of the audience, along with a proposed timeframe for the program. Applicants whose programs have received funding within the past three years must also explain steps being taken to make the program more sustainable.
Proposed activities must take place within the Town of Millis, with applicants required to provide confirmation from the organization or venue that will host the program. Applicants are also encouraged to submit samples of their work for consideration.
Millis High School seniors are eligible to apply for funding to support their senior project requirements.
