Application Information
FY26 Allocation
$41,300
FY26 Local Priorities
1. The application is fully completed and all supporting documents are submitted online via the Massachusetts Cultural Council grant application portal.
2. An application from a non-Leominster resident requires a letter of support from an organization/group/individual who resides in Leominster — or a letter from the performance/project venue located in Leominster – and should include the supporter’s connection to the community. This letter should clearly outline the impact of the program for Leominster residents.
3. The application encourages new and unique artistic/cultural experiences that benefit the Leominster community.
4. The application is a collaborative and inclusive project between cultural and community groups.
5. The application shows additional fundraising or in-kind services such as donated venue spaces, supplies, food items, volunteer work, or other services.
6. The application gives the Leominster Cultural Council a full understanding of the project.
7. An application from a previous grantee may be denied if the Final Report for that grant has not been submitted within 2 weeks after the event is held, per State guidelines.
FY26 Local Guidelines
The Leominster Cultural Council (LCC) gathers input from the community and awards funding based on this feedback. Priority is given to applications from local artists and organizations, or groups that have secured a local venue (specific date, audience, etc.).
The LCC typically receives requests totaling more than the amount of money available for us to grant. The goal of the LCC is to provide funding to as many qualified projects as we can; therefore, most projects receive only partial funding.
The Council will make grant money available in full to grantees once their projects are approved and the required paperwork is submitted. In addition to the State guidelines, applications will be evaluated using the criteria listed in the FY26 Local Priority section.
Per State mandate, applications with supporting documents must be submitted via the online Massachusetts Cultural Council grant application system.
