Lee Cultural Council
MISSION STATEMENT
The purpose of Massachusetts local and regional cultural councils is to support public programs that promote access, education, diversity, and excellence in the arts, humanities, and interpretive sciences in communities across the commonwealth. The mission of the Lee Cultural Council is to promote a rich and diverse cultural life in the Lee community, strongly supporting programs, events, and performances which encourage critical thinking, creativity, and community building.
LEE COUNCIL PRIORITIES
· benefit citizens of Lee and the Lee community
· benefit underserved populations
· foster exposure to other cultures
· encourage critical thinking
LOCAL GUIDELINES
Applicants should indicate a venue and proposed date(s) for project. Letters of support are preferred. We will accept virtual projects as well as in-person events, as long as current safety protocols are met. Also bios and resumes are preferred as well. We prioritize grants for the coming year, not grants that happen before our December voting meeting, or before we send out decisions in January.
If funded, applicants may receive partial funding only, and are therefore strongly encouraged to seek additional financial support for their project.
