FY25 Local Priorities

The Herring Pond Wampanoag Tribe Cultural Council gathers input from the community yearly and develops funding priorities based on this feedback. This year the HPWT Cultural Council will give priority to:
• Applicants that have secured a local venue
• Projects that serve Wampanoag youth and/or elders
• Projects that focus on local Wampanoag history
• Projects that promote community involvement and emersion in Wampanoag traditions and culture

In addition to the state criteria applications will be evaluated using the following review criteria:
• How well the program meets tribal priorities and serves the tribal community
• Tribal support and involvement in the project
• Ability to immerse cultural activities to promote and protect traditional activities and involve tribal citizens and the community
