Heath Cultural Council

The Heath Cultural Council is made up of at least five members who meet at least once annually to review applications for a variety of cultural projects and activities to take place in and around the Town of Heath, including exhibits, festivals, field trips, short-term artist residencies, performances, presentations for schools, workshops and lectures. Our mission is to approve, support, and lead a balanced variety of projects that benefit citizens of Heath. The Heath Cultural Council welcomes and solicits input from the community in order to better develop funding priorities.

Application Information

FY23 Allocation

$5,500

FY23 Local Priorities

Priority will be given to:
Applicants that have secured a local venue.
Projects that serve our local community.
In addition to the State Requirements, applications will be evaluated using the following criteria:
How well the program meets our local priorities.
Evidence of community partnership, support, and involvement.
Evidence of a favorable track record and dedication of the applicant.
Ability to augment our goal of offering diverse forms of cultural activities.
Demonstrated financial need.
Demonstrated planning.
Assuming that an application meets our general requirements and local priorities, we will also give additional special consideration to applicants or projects involving or benefiting under-served communities, including those that have been severely impacted by COVID-19.

FY23 Local Guidelines

The Heath Cultural Council limits the number of applications to one per applicant per grant cycle.
Our Council will consider capital expenditure requests.
Grantees must publicly acknowledge the Heath Cultural Council as well as the Mass Cultural Council when executing their approved projects in order to meet reimbursement criteria.
