Hamilton-Wenham Cultural Council
The Hamilton Wenham Cultural Council is part of a grassroots cultural funding network supporting community-based projects in the arts, humanities, and sciences annually. Each year, the council is allocated funding from the Massachusetts Cultural Council. Through a competitive grant process, the Hamilton Wenham Cultural Council awards funds to arts, humanities, and interpretive science projects in our communities.

FY25 Local Guidelines
When preparing your application, please bear in mind the following guidelines. These guidelines are reviewed annually by the H-W Cultural Council.(HWCC)
* We fund events scheduled to occur between July 1, 2024 and December 31, 2025.
* We give preference to events taking place in Hamilton and/or Wenham.
* We prefer HWCC-sponsored projects to benefit the greatest and most diverse populations in Hamilton-Wenham, specifically the schools, senior citizens and the community at large.
* We strongly suggest that any school programs or events be integrated into the larger school curriculum and receive follow-up treatment (e.g. discussion in class).
* We require programs to have a specific date, time and place. If any of these are not in place, that will likely be cause for denial.
* We encourage the use of matching funds.
* We require that requests for payments be made within three months of event.
* Applicant name must match that of Federal ID number.
If you cannot find the answers to your questions about the application process in the reference materials located on the MCC website, feel free to contact Council member, Peggy Roell at 860-614-1215 or peggyroell@comcast.net
