Great Barrington Cultural Council
The Great Barrington Cultural Council awards grants to organizations and individuals for the presentation of quality programs in the humanities, sciences, and the arts. It gives highest, but not exclusive, priority, to the interests of residents of Great Barrington and Housatonic at local venues. The Council is pleased to give funding to new programs that fit within the above criteria and that of the Mass Cultural Council, to the extent that the State allocation allows.

FY22 Local Priorities
The Great Barrington Cultural Council awards grants to organizations and individuals for the presentation of quality programs in the humanities, sciences, and the arts. It gives highest, but not exclusive, priority, to the interests of residents of Great Barrington and Housatonic and their local venues. Historically, the Council has supported educational, inclusive, accessible events, programs, and exhibitions that engage a broad community. The Council is pleased to fund programs that fit the above criteria and that of the Mass Cultural Council, to the extent that allocations permit.
FY22 Local Guidelines
Applications will be accepted beginning September 1, 2021 and the submission deadline is October 15, 2021. Grant recipients will be notified in January, 2022. The council will accept only electronic applications.
Applicants should consider the following:
? All performance, event, and exhibition venues must be fully accessible in compliance with ADA guidelines.
? Accessibility via public transportation
? Diversity of participants
? Cost to public
? Minimizing barriers to entry
? Funds directed to program costs
