Gosnold Cultural Council
The Cultural Council for the Town of Gosnold is the Gosnold/Cuttyhunk Cultural Council. Our mission is to create, preserve and promote culture–through the arts , sciences, and humanities– with grants to artists and others from our island community, and with grants to bring artists and others to our island community. In evaluating grant requests, we aim to promote programs that will meet the interests of our community which include for example (though not limited to) musical and dramatic performances, nature and environmental awareness, art practice and appreciation (including watercolor classes and our annual Plein Air painting festival), and intergenerational activities (like square dancing).

FY26 Local Priorities
The Gosnold/Cuttyhunk Cultural Council give priority to projects that best support the small island community. For example, large art installments or projects that focus on schools (our school is not open at this time)or other large organizations are typically not a good match. We are always happy to answer any questions about possible ideas for projects, events, etc.
FY26 Local Guidelines
The Council wants to be sure applicants realize that Gosnold/Cuttyhunk Cultural Council sponsors events and projects on island. Thus, transportation, overnight availability is more difficult. Please be aware when applying and consider you will need to travel by ferry and most likely spend the day and return by ferry. Otherwise need to think about accommodations, if you do not have an on-island contact
