Georgetown Cultural Council
Mission:
The Georgetown Cultural Council (GCC) is a Town-appointed group of volunteers who strive to bring creative arts, sciences, and humanities to the citizens of Georgetown through their advocacy, leadership, and vision. The GCC funds exemplary artists and arts organizations and provides programs, events, and services of public value that educate and engage all audiences in our community. The GCC provides access to the arts for people of all cultural backgrounds, economic status, sexual orientation, age, and physical ability and ensures broad public access to the arts. We further believe in and maintain high management and governance standards as directed by Mass Cultural Council and our Town’s Selectmen, which support the health and vibrancy of the arts community.

The Georgetown Cultural Council (GCC) supports exemplary artists, arts organizations, and cultural initiatives that provide meaningful programs, events, and services of public value. Through its funding, the GCC seeks to educate, inspire, and engage audiences throughout the Georgetown community.
The GCC is committed to ensuring broad and equitable access to the arts, welcoming people of all cultural backgrounds, economic circumstances, sexual orientations, ages, and physical abilities.
FY27 Local Guidelines
The Georgetown Cultural Council (GCC) requires grant applicants proposing an activity at a specific venue to include documentation from that venue confirming its support for hosting the proposed activity.
For example, if your application states that an event will take place at the Georgetown Library, you must include documentation from the Georgetown Library confirming that it supports and is willing to host the event.
