Charlemont-Hawley Cultural Council
The Charlemont-Hawley Arts Council supports civic conversation, theater, art, music, and much more in our small hill towns. Our board is made up of members from both Charlemont and Hawley. We love having the opportunity to learn about and support local goings on.

FY23 Local Priorities
The Charlemont-Hawley Arts Council funds events and projects in accordance with the guidelines established by the Massachusetts Cultural Council. Funds are allocated to artists and nonprofit organizations whose cultural activities enhance the lives of local residents.
Special weight is given to projects that take place in, or are helmed by, residents of Charlemont or Hawley, as well as to educational and intergenerational programs.
We are politically independent; that is, we do not judge applications based on the political viewpoints of their applicants.
FY23 Local Guidelines
We ask that individuals or organizations wishing to present programs in Charlemont or Hawley have their local venue or sponsoring group lined up before applying to the Council.
In the light of COVID restrictions, the 2022 grant cycle encourages artists and organizations to apply for funds for operating expenses and achieving online access.
