Carver Cultural Council
The Carver Cultural Council administers funding from the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency that fully funds the Carver Cultural Council, via an annual grant cycle.
The mission of the Carver Cultural Council is to promote excellence, access, and diversity in the arts, humanities, and interpretive sciences in order to enhance the quality of life in our community. The CCC strives to achieve these goals through the funding of local arts projects and programs with grants, and by hosting special events in Carver that are free and open to the public to benefit the Carver community.

FY25 Local Priorities
The mission of the Carver Cultural Council (CCC) is to promote excellence, access, and diversity in the arts, humanities, and interpretive sciences in our community.
We encourage applicants to consider the broad range of activities and programs for which grants may be awarded, such as: operating support; field trips; artist residencies; public art; fellowships; community events/programs; and site-specific projects.
The project must benefit people (audiences, artists, students, etc.) in Carver or close surrounding towns. The application should demonstrate that the project would be of interest to Carver residents, and be of low cost or free to the public.
In addition, the Carver Cultural Council will give priority in 2025 to the following
– Applications from Artists /STEAM individuals, groups, and organizations that reside or are based in Carver for projects to be held in Carver, especially those from new applicants.
– Projects that focus on and build awareness of local history and heritage or natural resources.
– Projects that focus on understanding nature, science, and technology, especially those that are of particular relevance to Carver and its surrounding, and that explain how these relate to people’s lives.
– Projects that promote relevant grassroots activities, including those that are still being developed
If an applicant submits more than one application for 2025, they should prioritize them in an accompanying letter.
Projects proposed by applicants outside of Carver will be strengthened by including a description of their planned outreach to the Carver community
FY25 Local Guidelines
It is important for grant applicants to coordinate with a town venue, or an organization with a carver-based facility: Some possibilities include the Council on Aging, Carver public Library, Carver Public Schools, local churches, and, for use of the town’s outdoor facilities, Carver Town Hall. Some venues may charge a fee for the use of the room, but most honor programs awarded as a grant from the Carver Cultural Council.
Applicants that have secured a local venue should include a letter from the cooperating partner(s). If an event is occurring in an open public area, there must be a letter from the appropriate Town Department(s)
