Carver Cultural Council
The Carver Cultural Council administers funding from the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency that fully funds the Carver Cultural Council, via an annual grant cycle.
The mission of the Carver Cultural Council is to promote excellence, access, and diversity in the arts, humanities, and interpretive sciences in order to enhance the quality of life in our community. The CCC strives to achieve these goals through the funding of local arts projects and programs with grants, and by hosting special events in Carver that are free and open to the public to benefit the Carver community.

FY27 Local Priorities
The Carver Cultural Council will give priority in 2027 to the following
– Applications from Artists /STEM individuals, groups, and organizations that reside or are based in Carver for projects to be held in Carver. We highly encourage new applicants.
– Projects that focus on and build awareness of local history and heritage or natural resources.
– Projects that focus on understanding nature, science, health, and technology, especially those that are of particular relevance to Carver and its surrounding, and that explain how these relate to people’s lives.
– Projects that promote relevant grassroots activities, including those that are still in development
– Projects related to topics of particular local interest not included in the lists above
If an applicant submits more than one application this year, they should prioritize them in an accompanying letter.
FY27 Local Guidelines
All funded events must be accessible by persons with disabilities.
We encourage applicants to consider the broad range of activities and programs for which grants may be awarded, such as: operating support; field trips; artist residencies; public art; fellowships; community events/programs; and site-specific performance educational projects
We encourage applications from anyone considering a community project that would meet the Cultural Council’s criteria. The project must benefit people (audiences, artists, students, etc.) in Carver or close surrounding towns. The application should demonstrate that the project would be of interest to Carver residents, and be of low cost or free to the public.
