Beverly Cultural Council

The ‘Beverly Cultural Council’ is pleased to be one of 351 cities and towns in Massachusetts to award funds in partnership with the Massachusetts Cultural Council. These funds are granted to qualified individuals and organizations to support cultural projects that benefit the Beverly community. Eligible disciplines include arts, humanities and interpretive sciences.

PLEASE NOTE: The Beverly Cultural Council will not fund applicants more than 3 years in a row. If you have received grant funding from the BCC for 3 consecutive years, you must take 1 year off from the application process before you may reapply.

The Mass.Cultural Council and the Beverly Cultural Council has set Sept 1, 2022 as the opening date for submitting the online applications for grant requests. October 17, 2022 is the deadline for organizations, schools and individuals to apply for grants that support cultural activities in the community. Submissions of applications must be made online.
The Council will hold an online informational meetings in September, (date TBD) to answer any questions about the application and award process.

Programs taking place in Beverly between 1/1/2023 and 12/31/2023 will be considered. Due to the limited funds available and the high demand for support, Beverly Cultural Council grant awards typically range from $250 to $1,500.

FY23 Local Guidelines

The Beverly Cultural Council gathers input from the community yearly and develops funding priorities based on this feedback. This year the Beverly Cultural Council will give priority to, (but not limited to):

New and emerging artists working to create projects for:
-Senior Citizens
-Families with young children
-Young professionals
-High School students

Our top four priorities for cultural activities are:
1-Musical performances
2-Public art
3-Community gatherings
4-Theater performances

In addition to the state criteria applications will be evaluated using the following review criteria:
• How well the program meets our local priorities
• Community support and involvement
• Evidence of track record and dedication of the applicant
• Ability to address the diverse cultural needs of a community’s underserved populations or support diverse forms of cultural activities
• Financial need
• Demonstrated planning
