Whately Cultural Council
The Whately Cultural Council aims to enhance and enrich cultural opportunities for its residents and to support and strengthen the artistic, creative, and cultural individuals and communities in the town.
The Council is particularly supportive of programs sponsored by local institutions and organizations, and community events, with priority given to programs that benefit children or seniors. Qualified institutions and individuals are encouraged to apply for a grant. Please click the Council Priorities tab above for details about applying for a grant.
Grant applications must now be submitted online– paper applications will no longer be accepted. Also, please note that our mailing address has changed. Please send all mail to the town office at 4 Sandy Lane, not our former PO Box address.
Reimbursement for approved grants must still be requested using the printed Reimbursement Form which must be signed and sent to the town office.

The Whately Cultural Council does not approve grant applications for programs that do not have sponsorship from a local institution, organization or community event. Such sponsorship must be evidenced by a letter from an authorized representative of the relevant institution, organization or community event.
Please clearly and completely complete all sections of the grant application. Applications with incomplete or ambiguous entries will not be able to be approved.

Please note that project funding requested from the Whately Cultural Council should not exceed one-third of the total cost of each project, including the value of any donated goods or services.
