Truro Cultural Council
The Truro Cultural Council supports projects that benefit the residents and visitors of Truro and the Outer Cape, and are related to the arts, culture, history, sciences, and community.
Applicants come from individuals, non-profit organizations, collaborative groups, and specific school programs (e.g. field trips). If you have a cultural project that you would like to share with the community, but may need financial assistance, apply for a grant!
PRIORITIES
1. We encourage organizations and individuals from the Outer Cape, especially those located/living in and/or serving Truro, to apply.
2. Projects that elevate the voices and experiences of historically marginalized groups and create opportunities for artists and community members who identify as black, Indigenous, Asian-American/Pacific Islander, Hispanic/Latin/Latinx, LGBTQX, or person living with a disability are encouraged to apply.
3. Only online submissions will be accepted, unless the applicant makes a significant case as to why that will be undoable. MCC will provide alternative instructions if the applicant makes this case successfully.
GUIDELINES
Applicants will complete their forms online and upload any required supplemental materials (resumes, references, marketing materials, etc.) by October 16, 2024.
Applicants offering school programming should include a method to share highlights of the educational experience with the Truro community at large. Any media should follow the school’s privacy protocols.
The Truro Cultural Council reviews applications and holds a grant cycle meeting to vote on grantees and amount allocated per award. Final decisions will be made no later than December 30, 2024.
The Truro Cultural Council will send disapproval letters first and allow the required 15-day reconsideration request period to take place before sending approval letters.
Grant recipients will be notified in January 2025.
