Salisbury Cultural Council

The SCC seeks proposals that focus on projects developed by local artists, and public events such as concerts, festivals, and fairs. Programs that provide arts and cultural opportunities for youth and the community are welcome. In addition, proposals that support neighborhood revitalization and appeal to a diverse population are also encouraged to apply for consideration.

FY23 Local Priorities

Priorities
SCC priorities include proposals developed by local artists, public events such as concerts, festivals, fairs, and projects that provide arts and cultural programs for a wide range of community members. When reviewing proposals, we attempt to insure that all segments of the population are served and that the projects provide meaningful experiences for as many citizens as possible. We do our best to be inclusive and to serve our diverse populations with equity. Priority is given to Salisbury artists, organizations, and institutions as well as events taking place in Salisbury.

FY23 Local Guidelines

Guidelines

The Salisbury Cultural Council (SCC) prefers proposals which impact the arts and culture in Salisbury in a manner which benefits the community at large. We strongly support projects which provide Salisbury seniors, families and children access to opportunities they would not have without our funding. In addition, the SCC is actively involved in promoting projects that foster and preserve Salisbury’s history and culture, as well as public art in our community. We prefer to fund projects with wide appeal that serve large groups, which are accessible to diverse groups of citizens, and are free. Only online applications submitted by the deadline of October 17 will be considered.
