Marshfield Cultural Council
The mission of Mass Cultural Council and its local cultural council partners is “to promote excellence, access, education, and diversity in the arts, humanities, and interpretive sciences, in order to improve the quality of life for all Massachusetts residents and to contribute to the economic vitality of our communities.”
The Marshfield Cultural Council supports the state mission and includes the following guidelines:
We eagerly review all applications but give priority to projects that benefit Marshfield residents and already have a Marshfield sponsor or venue in place.
The Marshfield Cultural Council recognizes that there is a great need for the arts in our town (music, art, humanities) and these will receive priority, however the sciences are not excluded from potential grant awards.
We encourage more programs to occur on evenings and weekends, benefitting the maximum number of residents (working adults included).
The Marshfield Cultural Council encourages programs with a higher degree of participant interaction and engagement. We are looking for diversity in experiences.
SUMMARY: We prioritize awards to programming which represents a diversity of audiences, experiences and are scheduled at various times.
